On 8 February at 12:00-13:00, Tomi Laamanen, Professor at the University of St. Gallen and Part-time professor at MGMT, will give a seminar entitled: 

How to use AI to speed up the development of high quality article submissions and how to navigate the subsequent review process

Abstract
The introduction of ChatBots, such as ChatGPT, has transformed numerous aspects of academic and professional writing, offering unprecedented tools for enhancing the efficiency and quality of article submissions. This interactive session delves into practical methodologies for harnessing AI technologies to streamline the research and writing phases for speeding up the development of high-quality manuscripts. After a short introduction, the session offers the opportunity for discussing the application of AI-driven tools for literature review, data analysis, content generation, and friendly reviews,, highlighting their potential to augment human creativity and intellectual rigor while ensuring the integrity of scholarly work in the different stages of the article review process.

 

Short Bio
Tomi Laamanen is chair holder and professor of strategic management at the University of St. Gallen. Tomi Laamanen holds PhDs in Finance and Strategy and until his appointment at the HSG in 2011, he served as Managing Director of the Strategy Institute of Aalto University in Finland and was a visiting professor at St. Petersburg State University. Tomi is Academic Director of the Master Program in Strategy and International Management (SIM) and of the PhD Program in General Management. He is a board member and treasurer of the Strategic Management Society, editor-in-chief of the Long Range Planning journal and editorial board member of many other journals. Being a member of the supervisory board and strategy consultant, he cooperates with international companies in various industries.
